The Janitorial Services Professional is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of designated areas within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness in lunchrooms and common areas, including sinks and countertops.
- Dust mop hard surfaces and vacuum carpeted sections.
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect all public restrooms.
- Empty indoor waste receptacles.
- Respond promptly to any immediate cleaning requests from the Supervisor.
- Report any malfunctioning or damaged equipment to the Supervisor within a 24-hour timeframe.
- Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply; reasonable accommodations will be considered for those capable of fulfilling the essential duties of the role.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in custodial services.
- At least 1 year of experience in floor care.
- Ability to read and write effectively.
- Capability to measure quantities and comprehend written instructions in English.
- Physical mobility across various settings and layouts is required.
- Basic understanding of maintenance and custodial practices.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning product combinations.
- Ability to perform all janitorial tasks consistently.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and address safety concerns when possible.
- Attendance at all mandatory training sessions is required.
- Reliable transportation to and from work is necessary.
- Must be able to obtain a Federal Security clearance.
