Position Summary: The Security Non-Teaching Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining safety within the school premises by executing both routine and non-routine security tasks as directed by the Operations Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily campus activities including arrivals, dismissals, cafeterias, hallways, restrooms, play areas, and parking lots.
  • Ensure adherence to proper cleaning methods and care of security equipment.
  • Respond to various requests from faculty and administration.
  • Address accidents or safety hazards promptly and report them to the appropriate authorities.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks to uphold the building's condition.
  • Maintain the perimeter of the building, including snow and ice removal.
  • Promote and observe safe work practices at all times.
  • Utilize safety equipment as necessary.
  • Take precautions to protect students, staff, and facilities.
  • Support school regulations and model non-discriminatory practices.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned in accordance with school policies.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in security is preferred. All candidates must complete background checks as mandated by Pennsylvania law.

Physical Requirements: The role involves walking, sitting, and standing, with the ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally. Work conditions may vary, including exposure to indoor and outdoor environments.
