Location Description: Wakefield is one of the largest production facilities within Michael Foods.  We serve as a flex plant and are able to produce everything from a whole pasteurized egg to liquid, dried, hardboiled and curds.  Responsibilities: Position Summary:The Inventory Clerk plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of supply management, coordinating activities between operations and maintenance to maintain adequate stock levels and issue parts in a timely manner. This position also contributes to cycle counting programs and continuous improvement initiatives.Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate with operations and maintenance to maintain adequate operating supplies in the stockroom and issue parts as needed.Offer recommendations on stock levels and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and identify potential problem areas.Assist in cycle counting programs and other continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of procurement activities.Interface with all departments to facilitate requisitioning, approval, purchase, and delivery of spare parts and consumable products.Utilize computerized maintenance systems (e.g., SAP) for history and parts inventory.Be available for overtime and holiday work when needed.Always ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMPs, and maintain product quality standards.Ensure regulatory compliance.Perform other duties as assigned.
