Prevention Program Supervisor

Aldersgate is seeking a highly skilled Prevention Program Supervisor to oversee the implementation of evidence-based prevention programs in multiple school buildings. The successful candidate will provide supervision, administration, and monitoring of prevention programming, as well as direct service as a Student Assistance Program (SAP) Liaison.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative/Supervisory:
- Supervise part-time prevention staff who provide evidence-based prevention lessons in classrooms, including monthly individual and group supervision, and consultation for emergent situations.
- Assist with hiring of prevention staff, including screening, interviewing, and reference checks.
- Orient and train new and returning prevention staff in current and new prevention programs and required documentation.
- Complete annual employee evaluations with each assigned staff member.
- Schedule prevention lessons in each school, assure staffing for each lesson, and troubleshoot any scheduling issues or changes.
- Maintain contact with school representatives and ensure that prevention programming corresponds with the contracted needs and expectations of each school district and building.
- Consult with Devereux Center for Effective Studies and WestEd Justice and Prevention Research Center to ensure fidelity to prevention programs and ongoing coaching for staff.
- Work with West Ed to request pre and posttests for each scheduled program, train staff in required program evaluation tools and requirements, and ensure appropriate implementation of all evaluation tools.
- Conduct regular check-ins with West Ed regarding the status of AYSB West Ed pre and posttest effective use and implementation, and Second Step teacher follow-through regarding Dessa Mini completion pre and post Second Step lessons.
- Observe staff presenting prevention lessons to ensure appropriateness for students and fidelity to each program, complete Observation Form, and share with WestEd, Devereux Center, and AYSB's ED in a timely fashion.
- Obtain demographics for each classroom receiving prevention lessons and provide to AYSB office to ensure appropriate billing.
- Obtain survey links specific to each school and program, and ensure that pre and posttests are completed for each prevention lesson per contract expectations.
- Ensure that satisfaction surveys are sent to teachers, students, and parents as per contract expectations.
- Solicit feedback from each school regarding specific program impact and staff effectiveness, both during and after each scheduled site program series of lessons and/or scheduled programs.
- Maintain statistical information per each school site and provide reports as scheduled and requested.
- Attend Devereux Coaching sessions, all county required meetings/trainings, bi-weekly supervision, and participate in Back to School Nights, school-based parenting presentations, and district in-service presentations as requested.
- Proactively and promptly relay all prevention staffing, scheduling issues, and programming concerns to AYSB's ED.
- Collaborate with SAP Program Coordinator regarding shared staff and school site issues.
- Direct Service:
- Provide SAP individual and group services to students at assigned schools, ensuring parental permission is obtained and documentation is completed as per contracted and agency requirements.
- Communicate with supervisor and appropriate school personnel regarding any cases of concern for the safety or well-being of any student.
- Provide SAP screenings and follow-up reports for assigned students.
- Attend SAP meetings at assigned schools.
- Present evidence-based prevention program lessons in classrooms, administer contracted pre and posttests where applicable, and obtain and document a minimum of 12 training hours each year.
- Complete weekly billing documentation fully and accurately.
- Master's degree in social services or counseling field required; familiarity with prevention programming preferred.
- 5 years of experience providing behavioral health services to students in a school setting.
- Ability to work in various school and office settings, sometimes sharing space with school staff.
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule to assure coverage at parent/school and other events.
- Reliable transportation required for travel between schools and between schools and agency.
- Willingness to schedule PTO usage to coincide with school calendar.
