The Vice President of Human Resources will provide strategic leadership in the following areas:

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: A Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field is required.

Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in human resources, with a proven track record in leading equity and inclusion initiatives, organizational development, and change management. Professional certifications such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP are highly desirable.

Lead the Human Resources team in developing innovative strategies that align with organizational goals. Advocate for a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging as integral to achieving strategic objectives.

Design and implement people-related processes that support the mission of the health center. Guide the senior management team in fostering a culture that values innovation and resilience.

Employee Engagement and Relations:

Promote a positive work environment that emphasizes respect and effective supervision. Oversee employee onboarding, engagement, and retention initiatives.

Benefits and Compensation:

Manage employer-provided benefits and ensure compliance with compensation laws and equitable pay practices.

Talent Development:

Collaborate with department leaders to anticipate future talent needs and create pathways for employee growth and development.

Performance Management:

Supervise the performance evaluation system and provide training for managers on effective performance management practices.

Employment Law and Risk Management:

Support the development and implementation of policies that comply with employment laws and promote a safe and inclusive workplace.


Competencies:

The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence change. A deep understanding of HR practices and a commitment to ethical practices are essential.
