Human Resources Coordinator

The Human Resource Assistant will oversee the daily functions of the HR department, including hiring, interviewing, and administering pay, benefits, and leave. This role requires in-person attendance at the main office and does not offer remote work options.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring process for qualified job applicants, collaborating with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies.
- Implement new hire orientation for each role.
- Administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave, as well as disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviewing policies and practices to ensure adherence.
- Stay up-to-date on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proficiency with the company's HRIS (ADP) and talent management systems is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- 3-5 years of human resource experience is required.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer or laptop.
