Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in using diagnostic medical equipment to diagnose various medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Review patient medical history and physician instructions
- Prepare equipment for procedures and select appropriate settings
- Explain procedures to patients and record relevant medical history
- Operate diagnostic equipment to direct sound waves into patient areas and collect reflected echoes
- View screens during scans and select images for diagnostic purposes
- Maintain patient records and adjust/maintain equipment
- Comply with safety, infection control, and quality improvement policies
