Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced healthcare professional to serve as a member of the Medical Center Executive Leadership Team at the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a member of the Medical Center Executive Leadership Team, providing input and guidance on clinical and administrative matters.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical and administrative policies.
  • Ensure the overall quality and appropriateness of patient care delivered by all members of the medical staff.
  • Direct and oversee the medical staff functions and committees, including credentialing and privileging of healthcare providers.
  • Participate in strategic planning, resource allocation, and performance improvement activities.
  • Ensure participation of the medical staff in performance improvement activities.
  • Serve as the Chairman for various meetings and committees, including the Medical Staff, Clinical Executive Board, and Peer Review.
Requirements
  • United States Citizenship.
  • Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Preferred Experience
  • More than 1 (one) years of Management/Leadership experience within a complex Medical Center.
