Job Summary

The Operator - Heavy Equipment is a critical role within our recycling facility, landfill, or transfer station operations. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment, ensuring the smooth flow of waste and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, including forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Monitor waste and materials for evidence of unacceptable waste and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Document minor service and maintenance tasks, and report any necessary repairs to supervisors.
  • Follow all required safety policies and procedures, and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
