About the Role

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a skilled Application Analyst to join our HealthIT team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the software applications associated with medical devices that provide clinical services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, install, configure, and/or develop software to support medical devices.
  • Analyze workflows supported by the assigned products and their relationship to the technical environment in which they operate.
  • Perform analysis and design of supporting technical infrastructures and creation of architectural diagrams of IT application ecosystems.
  • Support software implementations for assigned products which may also include testing and QA, reporting, product life cycle, communication/collaboration with customers and vendors, and training users.
Technical Capabilities
  • Configuration Management and Planning: Competent to apply changes or develop new functions based on understanding of the design of the system.
  • Technical Analysis: Knows most major/common assigned product group functions and demonstrates ability to analyze and develop solutions to moderately complex clinical, administrative, financial, operational, and/or technical issues related to assigned product(s).
  • Testing: Competent to develop new and execute pre-designed program test data, load testing, and ensures validity of data passed among programs.
  • Product Knowledge: Understands the product in relation to other company products and has general knowledge of the competition for the product in the marketplace.
  • Problem Management: Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate knowledge of Incident Tracking and Problem Reporting in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
