We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembly Specialist to join our team at SGS Consulting. As an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for building electro/mechanical sub or final assemblies per specification within standard takt times, maintaining quality requirements and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assembly and Quality Control: Organize and verify components, assemble sub or final assemblies in a safe and timely fashion, and check quality and operation of work.
- Soldering and Blueprint Reading: Solder wires and cable connections as required and read blueprints to assemble components and/or electro/mechanical assemblies.
- Documentation and Compliance: Complete quality and assembly documentation as required and ensure compliance with Hologic Quality Standards.
- Equipment Maintenance and Inventory Management: Maintain calibrated equipment and tools, request material from the stockroom, and participate in daily management boards.
- Problem-Solving and Cross-Training: Identify root cause of basic assembly issues, participate in cross-training to meet schedule needs, and work overtime to meet production schedule as needed.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year electro/mechanical experience and blueprint reading preferred.
- Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, perform mechanical assemblies, and use basic mechanical electrical tooling and measuring devices.
- Computer Tools and Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Outlook and knowledge of Agile and Oracle a plus.
- The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lifting/moving and carrying products weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Safety Shoes with Impact and Compression Protection Must be worn.
