Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Oral Health Professional to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. This role involves providing direct support to dentists, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient care and service within our dental offices.

Main Responsibilities
  • Patient Care and Support: Assist in the delivery of dental care and services, ensuring patients receive high-quality treatment and experience excellent customer service.
  • Instrument Preparation and Sterilization: Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, supplies, and materials as required by established guidelines.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and colleagues to ensure seamless care coordination and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Continuous Learning and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques, technologies, and best practices in oral health and continue to develop skills and knowledge to excel in this role.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience as a dental assistant or graduate from an ADA-accredited dental assisting program.
  • Licensure and Certifications: Dental Radiation Proficiency Certificate (Oregon), Pit and Fissure Sealant Certificate (Oregon) within 6 months of hire, Expanded Function Dental Assistant Certificate (Oregon) within 3 months of hire, and Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire.
  • Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated competence in four-handed dentistry technique, satisfactory level of knowledge and proficiency in current dental materials, instruments, and equipment, ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision, well-organized time management, and excellent interpersonal skills.
