Job Overview

BRIA is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Director to lead our pulmonary services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing respiratory therapy programs that meet the unique needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement comprehensive respiratory therapy programs that align with BRIA's mission and values.
  • Team Leadership: Train and develop a team of respiratory therapists to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the nursing department to provide residents with tailored respiratory therapies that meet their individual needs.
  • Evaluation and Quality Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory therapy interventions and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Licensure: Current, valid Registered Respirator Therapist (RTT) license in the state of Illinois.
  • Experience: 3 or more years of experience in a respiratory role in skilled nursing, with a preference for respiratory director experience.
  • Skills: Trach and ventilator experience, with a strong understanding of respiratory therapy principles and practices.
