About the Job

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Department of the Navy as a Machinist Supervisor I. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the machining operations in our shipyards, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of machinists and technicians to ensure that all machining operations are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve machining operations, including the use of new technologies and techniques.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all machining operations are aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Ensure that all machining operations are conducted in a safe and healthy environment, in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in machining operations, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of machining principles and practices, including CNC machining.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
