Lead Air Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
Assist a diverse range of clients with their air quality compliance and permitting requirements in a project management capacity.
Act as the technical authority for air dispersion modeling initiatives.
Guide and educate junior personnel while delivering technical training.
Provide oversight to junior team members to ensure project tasks are completed effectively and review their outputs.
Establish and nurture positive relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
Work collaboratively with technical teams and other departments within Braun Intertec.
Employ critical thinking to produce high-quality technical documentation and address client challenges.
Prepare project cost estimates, timelines, and various project management resources.
Engage in business development and marketing activities.
Essential Skills:
Expertise in air dispersion modeling, particularly with AERMOD.
Experience in air permitting across various domains: NSR, Title V, PSD, GHG Reporting and Planning, BACT, NNSR, etc.
Knowledge of air compliance support, recordkeeping, reporting, and client representation.
Capability to devise innovative solutions for environmental challenges.
Comprehension of air permitting and compliance matters across multiple sectors.
Ability to interpret regulations and conduct applicability assessments.
Proactive, goal-driven individual who seeks inventive solutions for project execution.
Demonstrated excellence in technical deliverables.
Effective communicator, both within the organization and with clients and regulatory bodies.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
6-9 years of progressive environmental experience, specifically in air permitting and compliance.
Demonstrated commitment to safety culture and experience in maintaining a secure work environment.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous.
