This role also involves the application of decorative wallpaper or fabric to interior walls.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare surfaces for painting by smoothing and removing old paint through scraping or sandblasting techniques.
• Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints using caulk, putty, plaster, or other suitable fillers.
• Choose premixed paints or mix pigments, oils, and drying agents to create paint that meets specified color requirements.
• Detach fixtures such as artwork and electrical switch covers from walls prior to commencing painting tasks.
• Apply paint using brushes, spray guns (either conventional or airless), or rollers.
• Utilize cloth, brushes, sponges, or fingers to create unique decorative effects with paint.
• Set up scaffolding or ladders to reach elevated areas for painting tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols by wearing necessary protective gear, including respirators, hard hats, safety glasses, and other personal protective equipment as required.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred experience of 1-3 years in painting.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions and blueprints.
• Capability to work at heights using ladders and lifts.
