Position Overview

As a vital member of our healthcare staff, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition Management:
    • Thoroughly review and assess requisitions for each imaging procedure, ensuring all necessary details are noted.
    • Engage with patients to gather relevant medical histories and document findings accurately.
    • Conduct pregnancy screenings for female patients of childbearing age.
  • Patient Interaction:
    • Understand and address patient needs effectively.
    • Introduce yourself and explain procedures to patients, aiming to alleviate anxiety and encourage cooperation.
  • Imaging Procedures and Safety:
    • Select appropriate imaging films and ensure correct placement of markers.
    • Utilize protective measures to safeguard patients from unnecessary radiation exposure.
    • Position imaging equipment accurately to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
    • Adapt techniques based on individual patient conditions to ensure optimal results.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively assist colleagues in various roles, demonstrating a willingness to contribute beyond your primary duties.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Stay informed about institutional policies regarding patient care and safety protocols.
    • Maintain current CPR certification and adhere to safety procedures while operating equipment.
    • Implement Universal Precautions to minimize exposure risks.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited radiology technology program.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Comprehensive understanding of x-ray technology and equipment.
  • Eligibility for IDNS registry and CPR certification.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to adapt to flexible working hours and lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with diverse patient populations.
