About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retail Sales Associate. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide customers with friendly and efficient service, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process transactions, including check-outs, exchanges, and returns, using point-of-sale equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the showroom and stockroom.
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking and replenishing merchandise.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Work safely and follow company guidelines and regulations.
Requirements
  • No minimum education requirement or years of professional experience.
  • Prefer six (6) months of experience in a retail environment providing customer service and operating point-of-sale equipment.
  • Willingness and ability to work weekends and throughout the week during operating hours.
  • Forklift Certification or the willingness and ability to obtain the certification through on-the-job training is preferred.
  • Able and willing to learn to be trained to fill propane tanks.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A knack for relationship building and problem-solving.
  • A desire to learn, grow, and work as a cross-functional team member with other divisions within Orange Madison Cooperative.
