Job Summary:

The Metrology Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing precision measurement solutions to ensure the quality and accuracy of products. This individual will design and develop CMM programs, vision system programs, and fixturing for CMMs and vision systems, as well as design hard gauges for use in production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement CMM and vision system programs to ensure dimensional accuracy and precision.

• Design and develop fixturing and hard gauges for CMMs and vision systems to ensure accurate measurement and inspection.

• Collaborate with the engineering department to reverse engineer products and develop new measurement solutions.

• Conduct Gage R&R studies to ensure the accuracy and precision of measurement tools and equipment.

• Perform dimensional first article inspections to ensure product quality and accuracy.

• Conduct capability studies to analyze the precision and accuracy of critical dimensions.

• Perform physical testing of products to ensure quality and accuracy.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree preferred.

• General knowledge of injection molding and manufacturing operations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic computer experience.

• Advanced blueprint reading skills.

• Knowledge of advanced measuring techniques.
