This program offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience while attending classes and working part-time during the academic year, and full-time during summers.

What You'll Do

As a Claims Co-op student, you'll work closely with a mentor to understand the claims handling process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting claims representatives with claim handling activities
  • Supporting internal and external customers with empathy and understanding
  • Documenting claim files with accurate information
  • Bilingual support as applicable
  • Access to insurance coursework, including licensing and designations
  • Professional and personal development opportunities
  • Developing knowledge of claim handling best practices and jurisdictional requirements
  • Obtaining required licensing as needed
What It Takes

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.00
  • Graduating in May 2026-December 2026 preferred
  • Ability to work up to 20 hours a week during the academic year and up to 40 hours a week during breaks
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
