Staffing Coordinator

The UPMC Western Maryland Resource Pool is seeking a skilled Staffing Coordinator to join their team. As a key member of the healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the utilization of supplemental staffing personnel for defined areas through the Resource Unit and Agency Contracting, Nursing division.
Key Responsibilities- Staffing Schedule Coordination: Provide comprehensive staffing schedules and flexible staffing coverage for nursing units based on established staffing requirements for each unit.
- Absence Management: In the event of call-offs or other absences, assure real-time adequate staffing and maintain contact with patient care areas, including Unit Directors and Nursing to obtain up-to-date temporary staffing needs.
- Record Maintenance: Perform payroll data entry for Resource Unit staff and other staff as appropriate, process and file requisitions, schedules and computer sheets, and enter required data into appropriate computerized tracking forms and databases.
- Reporting and Analysis: Utilize software systems for reporting trending data, maintain nursing personnel attendance reports, and submit a monthly report to the Director of Nursing denoting lost work time and overtime statistics.
- Office Support: Respond to general questions, order office supplies as needed, and provide support to patient care services division during eRecord downtime.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: Previous healthcare experience is preferred, and previous clerical and computer experience is required.
- Skills: Ability to utilize Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to generate reports and other information is required, as well as knowledge of One Staff scheduling system, payroll and timekeeping process, and UPMC's systems.
