Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Asst Store Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the non-perishable food and merchandise operations, assisting the Store Manager with inventory management, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the receipt, opening, and unpacking of merchandise shipments
  • Stock merchandise, rotate, and face products on shelves, and build displays
  • Restock returned and recovered merchandise
  • Authorize and sign for refunds and overrides, count register, and drive to the bank to deposit money
  • Assist in ensuring the financial integrity of the store through strict cashier accountability and adherence to company security practices
  • Assist the Store Manager with scheduling employees, entering payroll information, and ordering merchandise
  • Conduct safety meetings and maintain a clean, well-organized store
  • Provide superior customer service and comply with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Three years of retail store experience, including at least one to two years as a Department Head/Assistant Manager
  • Ability to read and interpret operating statements, identify corrective actions, and perform cash register functions
  • Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 40 pounds
