Job Overview
As a Financial Project Specialist at LHH Recruitment Solutions, you will play a crucial role in managing project accounting processes and ensuring revenue recognition complies with ASC 606 standards. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Estimated Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 per year based on location and experience.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage project accounting processes, including tracking, analyzing, and processing financial data for the full contract lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor and assess project progress and financial performance.
• Perform monthly general ledger entries and account reconciliations, focusing on unbilled and deferred revenue accounts.
• Assist with monthly billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing and validation of accounts payable charges related to customer projects.
• Analyze project margins and investigate variances to ensure financial goals are met.
• Support financial month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reviews.
• Contribute to various financial and audit-related projects, including data compilation for external audits.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, specifically with project accounting, revenue recognition, and accrual concepts.
• Proficiency in NetSuite is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with advanced Excel skills.
• Understanding of cost allocation and billing processes.
