Position Summary/General Description:


The Outdoor Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for executing routine outdoor upkeep tasks. This includes activities such as irrigation, landscaping, mowing, weeding, planting, pressure washing, litter collection, and snow removal as necessary.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Collect and dispose of litter while performing weeding tasks.
Coordinate work schedules with other trades, departments, and clients.

Ensure facility maintenance through regular pressure washing, which includes surface preparation by scraping, wet sand blasting, applying cleaning agents, and maintaining exterior hardscape while safeguarding adjacent areas as necessary.

Implement safe work practices by setting up traffic control measures, barriers, cones, and signage.
Always prioritize personal and customer comfort and safety.
Guarantee proper care and maintenance of tools and supplies.

Report any equipment performance issues or shortages of consumable materials used in pressure washing to the supervisor.

Prepare supply orders as needed.
Assist with minor construction tasks, including the handling and transportation of equipment and materials.
Maintain daily logs of work orders and completed tasks.


Foster relationships and loyalty with guests through genuine and meaningful interactions (e.g., remembering guests' names and preferences; connecting with them on a personal and professional level; smiling; making eye contact and greeting guests verbally).

Education & Experience:

A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
At least six months of relevant work experience is required.

Licensing & Certification:

No specific licenses or certifications are required.

Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:


Operate vehicles and powered equipment, including mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, pressure washers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.

Utilize applicable hand and power tools (e.g., leaf blowers).

Essential Physical Requirements:


Must possess the ability to bend, crouch, drive, hear, stand, turn, walk, and repetitively use hands 51-100% of the time.
Must also be able to balance, climb, reach overhead, sit, and talk 25-50% of the time.
Must be capable of pushing/pulling 1-50 lbs. 1-50% of the time and 50+ lbs. 25-50% of the time.
Must be able to carry and lift 1-25 lbs. 1-50% of the time; 25-50 lbs. 25-50% of the time; and 50+ lbs. 1-24% of the time.
Must be able to slide/transfer 1-25 lbs. 1-50% of the time; 25-50 lbs. 1-50% of the time; and 50+ lbs. 1-25% of the time.


Essential Mental Demands:

Requires the ability to organize and plan 51-100% of the time.

Work Environment (inside/outside):


This position involves both indoor and outdoor work, with frequent exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noises, and occasional exposure to fumes.
