ROLE OF A CULINARY SPECIALIST
As a Culinary Specialist, you will be instrumental in providing nutritious meals to students throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will also include assisting the culinary team in preparing food for various events, including banquets and sporting activities. After discussing the day's requirements with your supervisor, you will efficiently begin your tasks.
Your dependability and adaptability will make you an invaluable member of our team, whether you are preparing meals during regular hours or assisting with evening and weekend events.
When not engaged in food preparation, you will help maintain a clean and organized kitchen by sanitizing surfaces and ensuring proper storage of supplies.
Your dedication to nourishing young minds is evident in your exceptional work ethic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure students receive healthy meals during the school day.
- Assist in food preparation for special events as needed.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to meet daily demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant culinary experience.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past three years.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Environment: School kitchen, with occasional outdoor exposure.
- Noise Level: Moderate
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
WORK SCHEDULE
This position typically operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with potential evening and weekend availability required for events.
