Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of pharmacy technicians
  • Ensure operational activities are carried out smoothly in the pharmacy department
  • Staffing, training, and inventory management
  • Supervising tasks and focusing on customer satisfaction
  • Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems
  • Fills medication carts on a daily basis
  • Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department
  • Repackages bulk medications
  • Perform Sterile Compounding, Non-Sterile Compounding, Handling of Hazardous Medications
  • Manages medication safety processes and assists in maintaining integrity of all storage requirements within the pharmacy and external of the main pharmacy
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification
  • Two certifications from the following: Supply Chain Management, Billing and Reimbursement, Sterile Compounding, Non-Sterile Compounding, Hazardous Drugs - Handling, Medication Reconciliation, Onboarding, Operations, Regulatory Compliance, Controlled Substance Diversion Prevention - Management, Software Certifications
Functional Demands
  • Ability to supervise technicians in day-to-day operations
  • Manage technician scheduling
  • Conduct audits as directed by the Pharmacy Director
