Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Prepared Foods Production Team Member to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our prepared foods team, you will be responsible for preparing, counter serving, sanitizing, and stocking products to ensure a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with production for all prepared foods venues, ensuring all products meet WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
  • Ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated to maintain a high level of product quality and safety.
  • Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms to minimize losses and optimize inventory management.
  • Help customers understand the difference between WFM products and conventional store products, providing excellent customer service and promoting sales.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment, adhering to WFM cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing.
  • Immediately report safety hazards and violations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Thorough product knowledge and ability to make an adequate number of recipes per shift based on batch size.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectful manner to customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures, with effective time management and organization skills.
  • Passion for natural foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Understanding of and compliance with WFM quality goals.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
  • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
  • Exposure to temperatures: 90°F.
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
