We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment at our West Haven, CT facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance personnel, ensuring the smooth operation of the plant, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of maintenance personnel to repair and maintain production equipment, including motors, pumps, and conveyors.
- Oversee the upkeep of the facility, ensuring all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
- Develop and refine preventative maintenance programs to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with production management to achieve and exceed production goals.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
- Mentor and coach maintenance personnel to foster growth and development within the team.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance-related field.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with amino acids, vitamins, fine chemicals in powder and liquid form, and allergen products.
- Physical requirements include lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity, and exposure to various noise levels and environmental conditions.
