Job Summary
We are seeking a part-time faculty member to join our team at the Coast Community College District. As a part-time faculty member, you will have the opportunity to teach a variety of courses and contribute to the academic success of our students.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines. They will also be expected to create and maintain an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning, and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests, and issues. Additionally, the candidate will be required to maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and fulfill the professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

* Valid California Community College instructor credential, appropriate to the subject, issued prior to July 1, 1990;
* Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience;
* Associate degree and six years of professional experience;
* Or, possess a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent to the above.

The ideal candidate will also have evidence of a sensitivity to, understanding of, and the ability to manage the classroom environment, and effectively provide instruction to community college students of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds.

Desirable Qualifications
Recent community college or lower division teaching experience, and expertise and professional experience in the field of course(s) to be taught, are highly desirable.

Conditions of Employment
This is a part-time, temporary position, and employment is contingent upon verification of employment history, background verification as governed under Education Code requirements, eligibility to work in the United States, and approval by the CCCD Board of Trustees. The hours of work and effective date of employment will be arranged with the supervisor.
