We are seeking a highly qualified part-time faculty member to teach business and accounting courses at the Coast Community College District. The successful candidate will have a strong background in business and accounting, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students.
Responsibilities- Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
- Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
- Teach all scheduled classes.
- Maintain accurate records.
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Valid California Community College instructor credential, appropriate to the subject, per Education Code issued prior to July 1, 1990.
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration.
- Bachelor's degree in business with accounting emphasis or business administration with accounting emphasis or economics with an accounting emphasis AND a Master's degree in business, business administration, business education, taxation or finance from an accredited institution.
- Or, possess a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent to the above.
Recent community college or lower division teaching experience is desirable. Expertise and professional experience in the field of business and accounting is also highly valued.
Conditions of EmploymentEmployment is on a part-time, temporary basis and contingent upon verification of employment history, background verification as governed under Education Code requirements, eligibility to work in the United States, and approval by the CCCD Board of Trustees.
