Are you ready to take on a challenging role that requires expertise in system administration, Linux, and security? We're seeking a talented System Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation.

About the Role

This position is part of our Classified IT Transformation organization, which is responsible for transforming IT delivery to Classified programs and environments. As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a Linux Server environment, software, scheduling, and research applications. You will also be responsible for system installations, upgrades, configurations, software installation, troubleshooting, user interface, and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and configure Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8 systems
  • Customize and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux Common Operating Environment (COE) to meet customer requirements
  • Work seamlessly across organization boundaries, building effective relationships with teams and subject matter experts
  • Identify potential process improvements and implement changes
  • Ensure system security and compliance with DISA STIGs, DCID 6/3, and NNSA regulations
Requirements
  • DoD SECRET clearance required prior to start
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8 Administration and Configuration
  • Experience customizing and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux COE
  • Security+ certification
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Trusted Multi-Level Security (MLS) Operating Systems
  • Experience using Certificate Authorities (CA) and Public Key Infrastructure
  • Experience with Script Writing
  • System Configuration and Hardening
