Role Overview:

The Group Leader is tasked with executing and guiding daily activities for school-aged children in our programs. This role includes supervising, mentoring, and actively engaging participants in a variety of educational and recreational activities. Responsibilities also encompass the preparation and distribution of snacks and meals, facilitating social interactions, and organizing project-based learning initiatives.

Key Duties:

  • Escort students from school to the program
  • Provide snacks and assist with homework support
  • Design and execute project-based learning initiatives
  • Engage students in various program activities
  • Maintain regular communication with parents
  • Participate in sports and arts and crafts
  • Ensure classroom cleanliness and organization
  • Properly store equipment after use

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Specialized Knowledge: Certification in First Aid and CPR
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication abilities, basic computer proficiency
  • Abilities: Effective prioritization, multitasking, and capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Other Characteristics: Mission-driven, compassionate, and dedicated
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years or equivalent experience working with children

Physical Requirements:

The individual must be capable of standing, walking, sitting, using hands, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Climbing stairs and effective communication are also necessary.
