Job Opportunity:

We are in search of a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a motivated leader with a minimum of 3 years of progressive management experience in the distribution or transportation sectors. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the warehouse team, ensuring efficient unloading services for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage site operations with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Communicate daily with team members regarding service levels, accountability, compensation, and performance.
  • Create and submit daily work logs to corporate.
  • Audit daily labor and billing reports.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction on a daily basis.
  • Document and address any customer service or associate issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings and promote associate participation.
  • Assist in managing site and departmental budgets.
  • Schedule associate shifts based on client needs.
  • Conduct interviews, hiring, and training of new associates.
  • Supervise accurate data entry for all services rendered.
  • Complete daily closeout procedures, including cash balancing, data uploads, and payroll record management according to company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Flexibility with shift start times and workdays, including weekends and holidays.
  • 3 years of management experience in an industrial environment.
  • Proven ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills in a dynamic warehouse setting.
  • Experience managing budgets and interpreting financial statements.
  • Intermediate proficiency in PC applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or third-party operations is preferred.
  • A BS/BA degree or an associate degree with equivalent experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated success in supervising warehouse personnel, including hiring, training, and termination.
  • Proven ability to deliver high levels of customer service to both internal and external clients.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to operate material handling equipment safely as required.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with concrete flooring and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
