Job Overview

Career Personnel is in search of a dedicated team leader to oversee packing operations for a prominent Tier One Supplier.

Schedule: Evening shifts from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday. Supervisors are expected to arrive 30 minutes early and conclude their duties after the shift is finalized.

Compensation: Starting at $18.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.

POSITION SUMMARY: The individual will be responsible for directing the activities of Line Operators engaged in the packing of diverse products, while also providing support to the Production Supervisor as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all packing operations conducted by plant personnel.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all operational systems relevant to the work area.
  • Ensure effective coordination of material flow, both inbound and outbound, adhering to established safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Prepare and submit daily production reports punctually.
  • Communicate significant activities and occurrences to management during the shift.
  • Execute necessary administrative duties, including report preparation and correspondence.
  • Guarantee compliance with all policies and procedures by the team.
  • Assist in inventory management tasks.
  • Supervise sanitation practices within the warehouse environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience or equivalent is required.
  • Prior supervisory experience managing a team of 15-20 members is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) is required, along with familiarity in MfgPro.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds with assistance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills are expected.
  • Forklift operation experience on sit-down equipment is required, with prior certification necessary.
