Role Expectations:

The Senior LVN will operate under the guidance of the LVN Manager, ensuring seamless operations within the clinic's back office. This role involves collaborating with staff and healthcare providers to promote clinical efficiency and enhance productivity. The Senior LVN will lead back office personnel, focusing on performance while prioritizing patient care.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the back office team, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently and with high quality.
  • Develop and manage staff schedules to guarantee adequate coverage.
  • Facilitate team involvement in quality assurance processes, submitting weekly reports on compliance.
  • Manage inventory and supply orders to maintain fully stocked clinical areas.
  • Evaluate staff performance and contribute to performance reviews, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of training protocols for new hires.
  • Guide patients through procedures as directed by physicians and communicate test results post-review.
  • Utilize LVN skills to foresee potential issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate effectively within a teaching organization, supporting interns and residents.
  • Conduct regular meetings with MA/LVN staff to enhance productivity and communication.
  • Engage in the development of innovative methods to optimize clinical operations.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of clinical equipment.
  • Adhere to quality control protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Facilitate patient flow to ensure optimal clinic functionality.
  • Comply with attendance policies and demonstrate cultural sensitivity in interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in the official job description.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited LVN program is required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Must possess a current, active LVN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited program.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years of LVN experience is required, preferably in an FQHC outpatient setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in computer operations and various office equipment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication abilities, particularly in challenging situations, with a focus on teamwork.
  • Cognitive Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, follow complex instructions, and identify safety concerns.
