Position Overview

As a key member of our healthcare team, the Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care at Medical City Lewisville. Key Responsibilities

The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for:
  • Preparing patients for diagnostic scans and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
  • Operating advanced Nuclear Medicine equipment to capture high-quality images and measure the concentration of radioactive isotopes in specific body areas.
  • Adhering to strict radiation safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to achieve departmental and hospital objectives.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • State registration as a Radiologic Technician.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine or a related field.
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) within 60 months of employment.
  • Eligibility for registration by NMTCB and/or ARRT (N).
  • Texas MRT licensure.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
