Position Overview

The Logistics Operations Supervisor is accountable for overseeing all distribution activities across several facilities within a defined area. This includes managing the receipt, storage, inventory control, order processing, and dispatch of goods. Adherence to safety, quality, regulatory, and efficiency standards is paramount. The role involves leading warehouse personnel, optimizing workflows, ensuring a secure work environment, and achieving operational benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct daily distribution operations across multiple facilities, focusing on receiving, storing, picking, and shipping items.
  • Evaluate warehouse performance indicators (such as order precision, stock levels, and timely deliveries) and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and support to all warehouse staff to ensure adherence to company standard operating procedures and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate internally and across departments to continuously identify and implement improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of warehouse personnel and activities to fulfill daily operational requirements.
  • Lead the training, development, and advancement of the warehouse workforce.
  • Foster and maintain a positive, efficient, and safe working atmosphere at all times.
  • Conduct inspections and review logs to ensure compliance with company operational protocols.
  • Engage in investigations, develop solutions, and recommend actions to address personnel, process, and quality challenges as they arise.
  • Achieve and maintain current certifications for DOT and IATA shipping.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet established specifications.
  • Effectively identify and communicate maintenance requirements to management.
  • Participate in and/or lead daily kickoff meetings with the order fulfillment team, managing available resources, equipment, and facilities to consistently meet production demands.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:

Essential Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the packaging and distribution of DOT and IATA regulated items.
  • Skilled in data analysis and operational performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft D365.
  • Experience in import/export logistics is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and transport heavy items up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., hot, cold, dusty environments).
