Key Responsibilities:

  • Load Management: Assist in and oversee the loading of trucks, ensuring that all items are properly secured and shipping papers are accurate.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, and other critical systems to ensure safe and cost-effective performance, with a focus on preventive maintenance.
  • Delivery and Route Optimization: Deliver orders via the most effective route, ensuring complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customer needs.
  • Communication and Documentation: Maintain communication with the company during deliveries, ensuring any updated instructions are received, and document delivery, accuracy, and receipt of orders by customers according to company directives.
  • Warehouse Operations: Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required, and maintain a safe driving record free of violations.
  • Quality and Inventory Control: Pull, fill, pack, and set up orders for delivery or pickup, and report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person.
  • Customer Service: Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers, and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up, and assist in keeping the facility clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
