Position Summary:
We are in search of an Aviation Logistics Strategic Planner to join our team, focusing on the Marine Forces, Pacific (MARFORPAC) within the Aviation Logistics Division (ALD). This role involves providing expert advice to the Commander, executing directives related to aviation logistics, and representing the Commander across various levels of the Naval Aviation Enterprise. The goal is to foster an environment that optimizes aviation logistics to enhance warfighting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
Assist in the transformation of the Naval aviation enterprise by offering insights and recommendations aimed at improving logistics operations. A comprehensive understanding of available forces, resources, and logistics capabilities is essential to meet diverse mission requirements.
2. Daily Operations:
- Provide expertise in developing and refining operational concepts and plans to bolster aviation logistics capabilities and maintain operational readiness.
- Ensure effective management of aviation logistics by coordinating with various components to devise strategies for crisis prevention and response.
- Create briefs and documentation outlining aviation logistics requirements to support operational plans and contingencies.
3. Coordination and Collaboration:
- Represent ALD in collaborative efforts across MARFORPAC divisions and subordinate commands, participating in planning and synchronization meetings.
- Facilitate planning meetings by managing audiovisual presentations and coordinating logistics employment requirements with relevant stakeholders.
4. Assessment and Reporting:
- Utilize readiness reporting systems to conduct monthly assessments and maintain accurate records of operational readiness.
- Lead and support operational planning teams and contribute to the development of command chronologies and policies.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct evaluations of exercise events and develop recommendations for enhancing future operations.
- Arrange After-Action Reviews to assess event support and deliverables, ensuring lessons learned are documented and implemented.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in Naval aviation logistics, with military specialization in related fields.
- Demonstrated knowledge of military doctrine and command relationships at the MAGTF or Joint/combined command level.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft applications and readiness reporting systems.
- Ability to work independently on high-visibility projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply logistics or a related discipline.
- Previous service experience at MARFORPAC ALD is advantageous.
