General Manager Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our team at the Residence Inn by Marriott Philadelphia Willow Grove. As a seasoned operations leader, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including financial performance, quality product and service levels, and compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of department heads to ensure seamless hotel operations
  • Develop and implement sales plans and budgets to drive revenue growth
  • Conduct daily ABR meetings to review sales performance and set goals
  • Tour operating departments daily to ensure high-quality service and product
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings to review sales and operations efforts
  • Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and available supervisors
  • Develop managers for future advancement through competency training and corporate sponsored training programs
  • Participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
  • Adhere to all Aimbridge Hospitality policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems, Company approved spreadsheets, and word processing
  • Valid driver's license for the applicable state
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well in stressful high-pressure situations
