Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced and resourceful Quality Automation Engineer to join our tight-knit, distributed engineering team at Advansys. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive data operations management solution for our Data Fabric Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated testing frameworks for frontend and backend software components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs.
  • Develop and maintain test cases, scripts, and documentation to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure seamless integration of testing into the development process.
  • Identify and report defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud-native application development.
  • 5+ years of experience in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, specifically in a cloud-based environment.
  • Proficiency in Java, with experience in writing test cases.
  • Experience with frontend development and testing, including Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, or modern web application development frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of modular systems, performance, scalability, and security.
  • Agile development mindset and experience.
  • Knowledge of RESTful web services, JSON, AVRO, and service-oriented architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools, including Jenkins/Bamboo, and release management concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with big data processing, including ETL/ELT.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix and scripting languages, including Groovy and Python.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.
