Job Title: Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Plat.AI is an innovative artificial intelligence platform that empowers businesses to make real-time decisions and adapt to any platform or system. Our team of Data Scientists, Machine Learning, and Software Engineers leverage machine learning to solve complex problems and design optimization tools that drive innovation and development. We utilize cutting-edge technologies such as Microsoft Azure, C#.NET, SQL Server, and Vue.js, and follow an Agile Scrum practice for development.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Cypress, Playwright, and Mocha.
  • Ensure automated tests cover required functionality and are robust enough for reusability.
  • Enhance and maintain the existing automation framework or develop a new one if needed.
  • Ensure the framework is scalable, maintainable, and easy for other testers to use.
  • Execute automated test suites and analyze results.
  • Debug and refine automation scripts as required.
  • Log and track defects found during automated testing.
  • Report on test automation coverage, effectiveness, and areas of risk.
  • Research and evaluate new testing tools and techniques.
  • Work closely with manual testers to identify test cases for automation.
  • Coordinate with developers to ensure the application is automation-friendly.
  • Suggest and implement improvements in the automation process.
  • Develop scripts for performance, load, and stress testing using tools like JMeter or Gatling.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in test automation, tools, techniques, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of experience in software test automation.
  • Experience in creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts.
  • Exposure to the complete software development and testing lifecycle.
  • Strong programming skills in languages commonly used in test automation, such as JavaScript, Java, C#, or Python.
  • Proficiency with automation tools like Cypress, Playwright, Mocha, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, or similar.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools (e.g., Github Actions, Jenkins).
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Understanding of web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs) and database fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) or TDD (Test-Driven Development) approaches, if relevant.
  • Experience in developing or working with test automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with different platforms (e.g., Web, Mobile, Desktop).
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with developers, manual testers, and other stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools, and experience integrating automated tests into these pipelines.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (like JMeter or Gatling) could be a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools, languages, or methodologies as required by the job.
  • Experience working in teams, preferably in agile or Scrum environments, and collaborating with cross-functional roles.
  • Ability to maintain comprehensive documentation related to the automation process, scripts, frameworks, and results.
