Job Summary:
The Medical Technologist will be responsible for providing high-quality laboratory testing and results to support patient care. This role will involve working in a team environment to maintain responsible attitudes, performing laboratory testing, and using resources efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with department policies and procedures to provide accurate results and quality products and services.
- Assure valid results by identifying and addressing any errors or discrepancies in the pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of laboratory procedures.
- Manage daily workload in a productive manner, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot issues and cross-train on new procedures and equipment.
Requirements:
- Medical Technologist licensure by the State of Florida and in accordance with CLIA guidelines.
- Appropriate certification by the ASCP or other similar accrediting agencies.
- Excellent human relations, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Working Conditions:
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity to perform clinical/technical tasks.
- Ability to lift 10-20 lbs unassisted and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to sit and operate a computer for extended periods.

Job Type: Per Diem
Shift Times: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
