Job Title: Early Childhood Intervention Strategist

At Trying Together, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Intervention Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting high-quality care and education for young children in Allegheny County.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Intervention Strategist will be responsible for organizing and implementing a comprehensive strengths-based approach to provide strategies and supports for early learning programs to ensure that young children at risk of being suspended or expelled are retained in their program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with early learning programs, early intervention, and families to provide support and resources.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders, including early learning program administrators, educators, and families, to develop and implement strategies to support children at risk of suspension or expulsion.
  • Collaborate with the ELRC 5 Quality Coach and other stakeholders to assess and develop strategies to support families and children.
  • Design and implement a referral process for the Rapid Response Team to take action to support early learning programs and children at risk of suspension or expulsion.
  • Provide consultation and support to early learning program administrators and educators to develop strategies to support children and families.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of the Rapid Response Team and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood intervention and support.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field and five years of related experience in early childhood intervention or human/social services.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills, with the ability to maintain a project timeline and monitor progress toward goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance, with the ability to travel regularly to early learning programs in Allegheny County.
