The Hiring Need:

This firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Engineer to join their rapidly growing Special Projects Building Division based out of their Los Angeles, California office. The ideal candidate will have past experience working for a full-service commercial general contractor overseeing the construction of special projects, including commercial interiors, commercial tenant improvements, commercial renovations, corporate office, tribal gaming/casino resort, aerospace, industrial/warehouse, retail, entertainment/amusement park, resort/hospitality, aviation, multifamily high-rise interiors, or another form of commercial special projects.


Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging in positive and confident relationships with owners and owners' representatives, as well as architects, designers, property managers, consultants, and subcontractors. Key responsibilities include managing the pre-planning and conceptual phase, developing and maintaining the project schedule, communicating project schedule to subs and vendors, budget management, ensuring accurate and complete plans and specifications are issued to all subcontractors, overseeing as-builts, submittals, and manuals, and maintaining accurate and timely reporting to the accounting department.


Required Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2+ years' experience working as a Construction Project Engineer for a full-service commercial general contractor within the state of California. Past project experience involving any of the following types of projects is a plus: commercial interiors, commercial tenant improvements, commercial renovations, corporate office, tribal gaming/casino resort, aerospace, industrial/warehouse, retail, entertainment/amusement park, resort/hospitality, aviation, multifamily high-rise interiors, or another form of commercial special projects. A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering or another applicable field from a U.S. accredited college or university is preferred but not necessarily required.


The Compensation Package:

The successful candidate will be compensated with a competitive base salary ranging from $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 based on work experience. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), companywide annual discretionary-based bonus, companywide annual market salary adjustment, salary raise of 2-6% every year, company-provided laptop and mobile work phone, 401K retirement plan, premium health/dental/vision benefits with family coverage, tuition reimbursement program, and open vacation policy (equivalent to 3-4 weeks of vacation PTO).
