Position Overview

Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach music courses, including general music, music history, music performance, and music technology. The instructor must be willing to teach face-to-face classes at the Roswell Campus and online/hybrid classes where needed. The ideal candidate will participate in curriculum and course development, interdisciplinary activities, and events on campus. We are looking for someone interested in building the performing arts on campus and growing the position and department under the direction of the Dean.

Responsibilities

  • Teach music courses, including general music, music history, music performance, and music technology.
  • Participate in curriculum and course development, interdisciplinary activities, and events on campus.
  • Be willing to teach face-to-face classes at the Roswell Campus and online/hybrid classes where needed.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in music or a related field from an accredited institution or a Bachelor's degree in music with additional professional experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • Active musician and demonstrated commitment to teaching diverse students at a Hispanic Serving Institution are preferred.

Working Conditions

Adjunct faculty positions are part-time temporary assignments based on the needs of the University.
