As a Tax Intern, you will gain invaluable experience by collaborating with professionals across various levels, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of public accounting. This internship is designed to offer you the same level of exposure as our entry-level associates, complemented by engaging and interactive programming. Throughout your internship, you will have the chance to participate in training sessions and activities aimed at enhancing your skills and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare tax returns for Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, and Individuals on behalf of clients, including drafts, quarterly estimates, vouchers, extension preparations, and projections.
  • Conduct research and stay informed about changes in tax regulations while developing tax planning skills at both federal and state levels.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team to support diverse client engagements across various industries, including Technology, Real Estate, Education, Cannabis, Manufacturing, and Non-Profit sectors.
  • Regularly communicate and collaborate with a team of professionals on client projects through various channels, including meetings and digital communication.
  • Enhance your proficiency in accounting software through structured courses, self-directed learning, workflow updates, and practical training.
  • Pursue CPA certification with support from Armanino, including access to preparatory materials and classes.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that values diversity, equity, and the contributions of all individuals.

Requirements

  • Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in business with a focus on accounting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026 is strongly preferred, or plans to fulfill the 150 semester/225 quarter unit requirement for CPA licensure eligibility between December 2026 and August 2027.

The compensation range for this position is $32.00/hour.
