You will acquire practical experience by collaborating with professionals across various levels, gaining insights into the public accounting sector. This internship provides you with exposure comparable to that of our associate-level hires, along with participation in engaging and interactive programming. Throughout your internship, you will also have the chance to engage in training sessions and activities designed to enhance your skills and involvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tax returns for Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, and Individuals on behalf of clients. Tasks may include drafting returns, preparing quarterly estimates, vouchers, and extensions, as well as projections.
- Conduct research and remain informed about changes in tax regulations while developing tax planning skills at both federal and state levels.
- Function both independently and collaboratively within a team to support diverse client engagements across various industries, including Technology, Real Estate, Education, Cannabis, Manufacturing, and Non-Profit sectors.
- Regularly collaborate and communicate with a team of professionals on client projects through various channels, including meetings, chat, and email.
- Enhance your skills in accounting software through instructor-led courses, self-guided learning, workflow updates, and on-the-job training.
- Work towards obtaining CPA certification with the support of Armanino, which includes access to preparatory materials and classes.
- Foster an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion where all perspectives are appreciated and everyone feels welcome.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in business with a focus on accounting.
Preferred Qualifications
- A graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026 is strongly preferred, or a plan to fulfill the 150 semester/225 quarter unit requirement for CPA licensure eligibility between December 2026 and August 2027 is also strongly preferred.
