JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The FP&A Analyst is instrumental in executing financial planning and analytical tasks. This position employs in-depth analysis to derive insights that inform forecasts, budgets, and investment strategies. The analyst provides essential support to leadership through precise reporting, thorough risk evaluations, and serves as a subject-matter expert for financial inquiries and projects that necessitate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts financial analyses to identify trends and provide recommendations that empower leadership in decision-making and goal achievement.
  • Generates financial reports, including annual, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports.
  • Acts as a resource for departments regarding transactional inquiries and questions requiring analytical problem-solving, engaging with department heads to review and discuss risks.
  • Evaluates and reviews cost estimates, including technical data, cost estimation methodologies, and assumptions submitted by departments for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of financial KPIs.
  • Forecasts Profit and Loss accounts, including Cost of Goods Sold, SG&A, and Headcount.
  • Oversees CAPEX Forecast and Review to ensure alignment with business priorities and strategies.
  • Leads the Investment Proposal process and develops models to calculate NPV, Payback, and ROI.
  • Supports the annual budgeting process and multi-year forecasts.
  • Reviews budgets for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established procedures.
  • Collaborates closely with Accounting to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in reporting.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives while enhancing internal processes and increasing business efficiencies.

  • May require occasional travel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient in the use of standard office equipment and software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical skills (forecasting, trending, economic feasibility, profitability analysis, budgeting) with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effectively manages multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and proactively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adept at analyzing moderately complex financial issues, drawing conclusions from analysis, and recommending alternative solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in FP&A or related business analysis, preferably within a manufacturing or distribution context.
  • Prior experience with SAP and Analysis for Office, Microsoft PowerBI, and SAC is preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Total Rewards Package:

Compensation
  • Base: $71,000 to $97,000 annually, based on specific compensable factors including education, work experience, and geographic market.
  • Bonus: This role is eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, where an employee may receive a percentage of their salary based on company and individual performance.
