Job Title: Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

MPR Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will provide technical expertise and leadership in control system engineering, design, implementation, and commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in I&C systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems. You will work closely with our clients to understand their problems and challenges, develop technical proposals to address their needs, and effectively present company capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership in control system engineering, design, implementation, and commissioning
  • Develop technical deliverables for clients, including engineering evaluations, operability evaluation, problem resolution, and I&C upgrade feasibility studies
  • Provide technical direction and project management for I&C projects in various market sectors, including nuclear, federal government, and health and life sciences
  • Effectively interface with clients to understand their problems and challenges, develop technical proposals to address their needs, and effectively present company capabilities

Requirements:

  • 4-year technical degree required; advanced degree a plus
  • At least 5 years of directly related I&C experience working in a project/systems engineering role
  • Familiarity with IEEE, IEC, and ISA standards
  • Familiarity with different I&C vendor products and their offerings
